オーストラリア研修⑦

Today is my 5th day in Australian school. At first, I felt strange that Australian high school students were speaking in English. But now, I'm getting used to talking in English. By the way, Gold Coast (the city we are staying) is not a big city. But because of that we can see a very beautiful view. I went to a lake, which is close to the house I'm staying in, with my host father. And I took this photograph when the sun was about to set. I'm studying with high school students and experiencing beautiful nature, so I'm happy every day. Before I left Japan, I was worried that someone might catch a cold or be sick. However, we are energetic and healthy. And we seem to become more active inspired by Australian people. Our days in Australia left only half and bit more. So I would like to enjoy the days in Australia with caring for health.

今日はオーストラリアでの学校生活５日目です。初めは周りのオーストラリアの生徒たちが英語を話していることにすら違和感を感じていましたが、今では英語を話すことに慣れてきました。そして、私たちのいるゴールドコーストは、都会ではありませんが、その分とても美しい景色を目にすることができます。この写真は、ホストファーザーと近くの湖に日の入りを見に行った時のものです。オーストラリアの生徒たちと一緒に豊かな自然に囲まれてのびのびと勉強に励むことができていて、毎日とても楽しいです。出発前は、誰かが体調を崩してしまうのではないかと心配していました。しかし実際に来てみれば、むしろオーストラリアの人に感化されて出発前よりも元気になっているぐらいです。オーストラリア生活ももう折り返しが近いですが、体調にも気を配りつつ、楽しみたいと思います。（高校1年K. I'm getting used to life in Australia. I think that I became to I can continue a little. Thanks to host family speaks easy to understand. Today, I made a dreamcatcher. I could made well. Thanks to the school students and teachers taught us kindly. I'd like to take it as a souvenir. After school, my host family took me to a volleyball game. A team which I cheered lost a game but I was interesting. Because I have never seen without movie before. I'm looking forward to Sunday! I'd like to enjoy the rest of the week!

オーストラリアの生活に慣れてきました。少し会話が続くようになりました。ホストファミリーがわかりやすく話してくれるおかげです。今日ドリームキャッチャーを作りました。学校の生徒や先生が教えてくれたおかげでうまく作ることが出来ました。家族へのお土産にしたいと思います。放課後、ホストファミリーがバレーの試合に連れて行ってくれました。応援していたチームは負けてしまいましたが、生で初めて見たのでとても面白かったです。日曜日が楽しみです!あと1週間も楽しもうと思います!（高校2年T. K.）

We made Aboriginal baskets(?) at school. I don't know what it was, but we made it by taking two strands of grass and putting emu feathers in between, twisting and weaving them together. At the beginning we all struggled because we didn't know how to do it, but a teacher from Benowa High School taught us carefully and we all made it well! This picture shows the finished product. After we finished making it, we all played Ayatte together. We made emu legs. It's probably a broom in Japan. Everyone is having a lot of fun in Australia. Also, the sun is really strong!（高校2年T. H.）
