2025年度第９回即興型英語ディベート
On Monday October 27th, we held the ninth debate meeting of this academic year. Again, students took part in two debates.
The first debate topic was To alleviate the shortage of doctors in rural areas, all doctors should be required to work in rural areas for a couple of years (地方の医師不足を改善するため、全ての医師に数年間の地方勤務を義務付けるべきである。) and the second was Developing countries should prioritize investing in online education over in-person education. (発展途上国は対面教育よりもオンライン教育を優先すべきだ。)
The meeting's topics encouraged the students to think more deeply about serious challenges both in Japan and abroad. The teachers were pleased that students debated so enthusiastically. Especially, we noted that many students used the full speech time to explain their ideas in detail. Also, there were a large number of POIs in the debates as students argued back and forth.
