ドイツ留学レポート②

こちらに来てから約1か月が経ちましたが、本当にあっという間に感じます。学校の環境や言語にも少しずつ慣れてきました。

まずは、学校の授業について紹介します。現在、私が履修している科目は、ドイツ語、美術、演劇（Darstellendes Spiel）、数学、日本語、英語、生物、体育、地理、歴史、政治経済、宗教、そしてフランス語です。歴史と生物はバイリンガル授業で、英語で学んでいます。ほとんどの授業は、授業の話題に関する文章の読解、要約、分析、ディスカッションなどで構成されています。これは、日本の授業とは大きく異なる点の一つだと感じました。どの授業ももちろん難しいのですが、私がその中でも難しいと感じているのは英語の授業です。最近行われたテストでは、読解問題に加え、演劇を題材にした記述課題がありました。要約文や登場人物の分析、そしてinner monologue（登場人物のセリフや心の声のような文章）を書く課題でした。こうした内容を書く練習をしたことが今までなかったので、とても苦戦しましたが、沢山の新しいことを学べて嬉しいです。

次に、最近あったイベントについて書きたいと思います。先週、学校で「Tanzabend」というイベントがありました。放課後に講堂でバンドやオーケストラが演奏し、生徒や先生が音楽に合わせてペアダンスを踊っていました。皆さん華やかに着飾っていて、本当に素敵な夜でした。

また、オルデンブルクでは「Kramermarkt」というイベントも開催されています。私は「Kramermarktumzug」というパレードも見に行きました。通りには、子どもたちが集まり、パレードの行進者たちが、子どもたちの袋がいっぱいになるほどのお菓子を投げて配っていました。Kramermarktは移動式の遊園地のようなイベントで、私は「Kettenkarussell」という空中ブランコのような乗り物に乗りました。夜空から見下ろす街の景色は本当に美しかったです。

ドイツでは、あと2週間で秋休みに入ります。他の街を訪れたり、学校の勉強をしたりと、充実した時間を過ごしたいです。

I've been here for about a month now. I'm gradually getting used to the environment here, as well as the language. 

First, I'd like to write  about my classes. I'm currently taking German, Art, Drama (Darstellendes Spiel), Maths, Japanese, English, Biology, PE, Geography, History, Politics and Economics, Religion, and French. Both History and Biology are bilingual subjects, so we learn them in English. Most lessons involve reading, writing, analysis, and discussion. I find this style very interesting and it is one of the most noticeable differences compared to how lessons are taught in Japan. One subject I find particularly challenging is English. In a recent test, in addition to reading comprehension, we were asked to complete several writing tasks based on a drama. These included a summary, a character analysis, and an inner monologue. Since I had never encountered these types of assignments before, I found them quite difficult. However, I am excited to keep learning and improving myself.

Next, I'd like to share some of the enjoyable events I've experienced recently.
Last week, there was a school event called Tanzabend. After classes, bands and the school orchestra performed in the school hall while students and teachers danced in pairs to the music. Everyone was dressed up beautifully, and it was truly a wonderful evening.

In addition, an event called Kramermarkt has been taking place in Oldenburg. I also attended the Kramermarktumzug, a parade where children gathered along the streets and participants threw sweets to them. The Kramermarkt is like a travelling amusement park, and I went on a ride called the Kettenkarussell, which is similar to a flying swing. The view of the city from the night sky was absolutely beautiful. Our autumn holiday starts in two weeks. I'm looking forward to exploring some other towns!
